Good morning

I have a lot of WC 845 and i would like to use it to reload the 223 remington. Is there somebody who has ever used it to reload this caliber? The bullet will be a 55 grains.A loading data will be greatly apppreciated.

Thanks DESERTFOX

Geez, how old is it? The powder doesn't appear on any burn rate chart. I'm not seeing any mention of it anywhere on-line either.
I'm sure you can read, but is the number correct?

Well gentlemen, I have some of that powder also.
Do you have any load data for 30-30 Win, 308 Win., and 30-06 Sprg., 303 Brit. and thanks for the info on the 223 Rem.
Thanks for your input.............

Wc845 data

I still have 14lbs of WC845 and think it's great. It only cost $12.50 a lb. :D
I also have the original data notes from AmmoMart before they became Higginson. They never had suggested load data by caliber. They had the following notes.

" WC845-5% faster than H335. Reduce H335 "START" loads by 5%. If no "START" data is shown-(REDUCE MAX.LOADS BY 15%)
USE H335 "START" DATA AS MAX.
Watch for PRESSURE SIGN with each charge increase."

" WC845 - 1/2 grain faster than H335 "

I use WC845 in .223, 22/250, .243, 30/30, .308, 32 Win special, 45/70
I found WC845 too fast for .270 and .300 WinMag where WC852 is better.
I use WC845 as a substitute for H335.

Hope this helps.

Its good powder, very close to H335, burn rate similar to H4895. Useful for most small to medium size cases. I wish I'd bought more, it would have been better than money in the bank!
