A number of years ago I had a Browning A-bolt in 30-06 and developed a pretty good load using H335 and Nosler Partition 150 gr bullets for hunting (Have not kept data). I have since sold the rifle to buy other toys. I am looking at doing a Stevens 200 build (modding stock) in 30-06 and planning on using WC 735 (5% faster than H335) as it as served me well in my AR-15 (223) and my Norc M-14 (308).

Anyone have any experience using this powder in 30-06 and want to share a recipe and how well it has performed? I am not interested in more expensive powders because with 2 kids and a single income family I am content to keep the types of powder I have for rifles to one.

A bit fast for a 30-06, but would be fine with the lighter bullets so long as you don't try for top velocity.

If you went a notch slower, you would still have a good 3 rifle powder. 4895 or RL15
