wC735 load data

WC735 is also identified as AA 2200 or Data 2200. This data is taken from the AA reloading website. I have used this data with 5.56, 7.62 x 39 and .308 with good results. I would double check this on their website. I just downloaded it today so it should be current but you should still check it out.

This is for 5.56

It's great powder for the 223Rem.

Rugerman's info is dead on

Look here http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-con.../04/DP2200.pdf

I really liked the powder until I ran out of it.

It's to fast for the 308Win and other larger thirties. It's fine for mid range 6,5 cartridges but to fast for the 6.5x55 and 270 Win. 243 and smaller but my 257 Roberts loved it with light bullets. Not so much with 120 grn though.

It did ok in my .308 loads but where it really shone was in the 7.62 x 39. I had some Lapua brass for that calibre. With this powder, Hornady V-Max bullets, and match primers i got groups just over 1", 5 shots at 100 yds consistently out of my AR. Yeah, I have about 3 lbs left. Shame you can't get it anymore. Couldn't beat the price from Higginson's either. Does show up on the EE once in a while.

It's my go to load for 308 in my Norc M305. 40.5gr behind a Hornady 150gr FMJ in IVI brass. Shoots great. Can't remember the speed but it was not bad... Used it behind the 150gr SPs too. Same charge, same POI. Got pretty lucky there.

Not sure how good the accuracy really was. Just got around to mounting a scope on that rifle and hopefully heading out this week to try double check the batch I just loaded up yesterday... Of course, now I'm out of 735 and I have to go and find some more for the next batch before nobody has any left...

It's OK but not great. It's fine for lighter bullets, say 150grains or less. Pressures build up quickly with anything heavier. My Howa 1500 really likes the loads made up with it in 7.62x39 as well.

As I mentioned, I was surprised at the results in my 257 Roberts. Good powder, very consistent velocities but designed for smaller cases IMHO.

I use 62gr bullets not projectiles in my 223. A projectile could be a gob of spit but a bullet is always a bullet. I load 23.7 grains of wc735 under my 62gr bullets in my 223 casings.

That's very close to the standard BLC-2 loadings with the same bullet.

I wish I had bought more. I have enough powder to last the rest of my shooting days and then some. I don't see any surplus powders at all on Higginson's site.

Search on the web show multiple sources that say that WC735 is a ball powder 5 % faster than H335.
One source quote this is data from the manufacturing plant in Florida.

Did not find any indication it is AA2200 or BLC2.

Juneau is correct that is the data I have used for well over 30 lbs of WC 735. I just opened my last 8 lbs of it two days ago.

I sure do miss the days of cheap surplus powders back in the days when Thomas was at the helm of Ammo Mart.

I've used it with 110 Vmax in the 308, works good...muzzle flash is a bit excessive.
The biggest case I've loaded it in with success was 8x57, had a very accurate load if I can ever find where I wrote it down.
Mostly 222,223, and 30-30 with it these days.
