Thanks for the post OP, yesterday was amazing, the busiest I have ever seen it. This event goes from strength to strength each year with greater manufacturer support and customer attendance.
Open again today so if you get chance, come on down for a great time.
P.S. Don't forget the charity fundraiser, open to everyone online and in store. Chance to win amazing prizes

Walking up to buy tickets for the firing line I passed a total stranger and our eyes met at the exact moment someone let loose a long burst of full-auto MG fire. We just grinned at each other and said "Yeah!"

This for nother reason is why you should make WD2018. I'll see you there. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!

yep ,you can tell by the grin when "someone just gets it".

I seen a guy coming from the left side by the big rifles with blood running from his eyebrow down to his lip.
He still had that big grin on his face.

Well I made the voyage from Ontario .... it was well worth it .....meet some of the fine people who work there..... they are very nice people
Meet John and pat .... Ryan....Evan ..... the English dude ( I forgot his name... I'm sorry)... the tall guy with glasses ( I forgot his name too!!)....
what a great bunch of people ... always a pleasure to deal with
Cheers

Glad to here it made the trip worth while. I guess my 300km trip Saturday and Sunday morning was not that that big a deal then. :)

I missed some of the first Demos. My son wanted to try the European stress relief .
You know Aroma therapy and the breaking of pottery .

Saturday was cool and the sky looked nasty from time to time.
But I believe it was one of the top turn outs Saturday.

Sunday the sun came out but the turn out was a little slower.

This serious looking gentleman was making sure everyone came over and felt comfortable and safe to try any firearm that caught they eye

That look usually means someone is about to tell me what they think weather I like it or not. :)
After the shooter as done Ernie walked over and ask how I like this years event and was I having a good time.
I had to mention that because as busy and serious looking some staff may have looked, they made you feel like you lived just next door .

I think some of the spotters were having just as much fun as the shooter,
watching their reaction to doing something they have not done anywhere else.

If you need to serve a can of soda 100yds away or want something different then clay pigeons they sell the can launchers.
But the 40mm attitude adjuster is law enforcement only.

For those that have not seen the story,if your girlfriend points one of these at you don"t hide behind an encyclopedia.

There was a couple rifles under the Sako tent I wanted to try but kept getting side tracked from getting in line.

Xmetal had their steel targets and nicely designed folding stands. They wouldn't sell me that poor 16" gong abused by 100rds of 50bmg.
Well truth is it looked better than my gong hit with a dozen .223

And Andrew from Gryphon Energetics brought the thunder

Well still flying under the radar of foto boot so I will share a few more.
I was told I should set up a reloading bench and that it was very relaxing.
Well at this reloading bench I think there are at least 4 thumbs that say different.

Here is a young but experienced looking shooter as he waits in the ready position .

Craig's advise was
"This is the rifle you have to try first "

The shot

That 50 cal. smile says
