Right lads- more assistance required! My 22" Norc M305 always dribbles one or two (out of five shots) brass cases just outside the ejection port. The others go where they should- out in front of the barrel. Rifle is kept greased with tetra gun grease and everthing else is nice and tight. Could this be a problem with the bolt? It does this with all types of factory ammo. Is this a gunsmith job? Any advice appreciated- I've checked the gas shut-off and it is in the correct position. Could there be a burr of metal slowing down the gas piston? hmmmm. Very frustrating as this rifle shoots pretty good.

Do the ones that eject properly seem to land in the same place? A silly question if you are familiar with the M-14,.. but you are not dragging the op rod with your support hand, especially if you are a left handed shooter and pressing your right thumb on the op rod. This was the only reason to cause weak ejection on mine, and with a left handed shooter I let shoot it.
Just seems funny for 1 in 5 and with any ammo.

I am a lefty; and have wondered if my support hand is causing the issue but i am 95% sure it isn't. I usually shot off the top of my pack and my support hand is not touching any moving parts. Having said that, I will try again, just too make sure.

Yeah, while I am cleaning the bolt i may as well replace the ejector spring as that could be contributing to the problem. I have yet to test the rifle again, but after 200 odd rounds through it i am pretty confident my support hand is not the problem.

also make sure your barrel is timed right, or gas cylinder shimmed properly ...or it may cut off some of your gas port
- theres a .075 " dia gauge that is inserted to makes sure your alignment is good

do the dis assembly/ re assembly( last one the important one) inside a heavy gauge clear plastic bag, so that WHEN, not IF, springs go flying you can find them. wear glasses

I had a friend who had a similar problem, but his was due to the arcangel stock he had installed it was not fitted properly. If i recall it was not a proper lock up and required him to shim to get a nice tight lock up. We tried every thing at first ejector extractor, looking for rubbing of the op rod, in the end a simple shim from a pop can did the trick.
