Weapon lights - need a recommendation

Only experience with : SF X300, Fenix TK11, Streamlight TLR-2S.
Only thing that has strobe is the TLR-2S, strobe and light work fine, laser died at ~2k rounds on my P226 of 124GR factory ammo, warranty proved little hassle but disappointed it failed in the first place.
Not that anyone would break US laws by exporting, but they can be had cheap in the US.

I have the viridian X5L on my G21, the Nebo 5569 ProTec Elite HP190 on my CX4 and the Micro 90 light from S&W (alot cheaper) on my MP9. I love them all and they will all fit on you Glock. The Micro 90 has no strobe but the light is awesome

My bad for not reading. The APL has momentary on and constant on but no strobe 
Are they ITAR controlled? Some websites say that are, others don't. I would love to buy one out of the states and just go pick it up and save the brokerage and extra shipping fees. Any thoughts? I have read the ITAR act, but it is pretty broad and I am assuming that it enhances the usefulness of a firearm and therefore is covered under it.

I got the TLR1s on my M&P40, it's a solid and bright light. If you want a good light, it's probably the best option for the money (I think I paid $150-160 for mine). You can probably find one for less.

Its also hard to recommend something you have next to no experience with, having only had the light on for a day or two. Right? Unless those were 1000+ round days. Probably lights up your room great though.
(Im going to pick up a APL for my glock, as I like the price point and way it fits)

I have a M6X on my USP in 45. Well over 5000 rounds through it with the light mounted and light and laser both work fine. The only problem I have encountered is the lens on the light gets covered in soot all the time. I had to get a GG&G rail adaptor to mount it on my H&K.
Use vaseline.
Some ranges allow you to shoot in low/no light, just as some matches include similar stages. The other reason is self explanatory, but it can't be discussed on this forum as many have nightmares and are offended by mentioning personal defense... Oh sh*t, I didn't mean to say that.

Or non coloured chapstick. Its more portable, and would gather less funny looks at the range.
Precisely. If you have to point it down a stairwell at 4 am, its good to know its not a drunk friend you gave a key to 5 years ago before you start to lay hate. Positive identification is key.
