So, YouTube keeps "suggesting" Art Alphin videos to me. The first one I saw (quite a while back), I almost got a chuckle out of it. Alphin has a, well, very specific style of delivery, that comes from a different era of military instruction.
But the more of his videos I've seen, the more I'm convinced that Art was a very astute man, and really knows his stuff.
Spent some time googling him this evening... Former Army championship marksman, West Point grad, Rice University masters degree, founder of A Square sporting rifles and inventor of the .577 T-Rex rifle and cartridge, big game hunter...
All around, 100% from toe to hat gunny...
Anyway, found this video particularly interesting. Gives a good understanding of what a battle sight is supposed to accomplish.
