wear spot on glock 17 mags - common?

Just wanted to see how common it is for glocks to have a wear spot on the mags. It looks like it is from the inside of the slide. Gun is a brand new glock 17 gen 4.

Haven't seen that on my G17. Little under 5k thru it.

yes, it's common. Mine is brand new and has them too. The slide rubs there.

Ya it's definitely from the inside of the slide.

Same thing on my G17 gen4 after the first 100 or so rounds. I trimmed off the plastic left sticking out with a utility knife to make them smooth again.

Mine have the same thing. I thought it was from my old JR Carbine... I guess not.
