Got out to the range today and tried some handloads. The only bullets I had were the 225gr Hornady SP.

So far the best group was with 86grs RL22. Not sure of the velocity, so will take my Chrony next trip. Looks very promising.

Yes, I shot them and very accurate as seen below. Bottom shot was my fault. I might try some 225gr accubonds next.

I'm glad to hear you are enjoying it. I just wondered about those loads, because they performed exceptionally for me. That said, I was still trying to workup a handload I could afford to shoot more frequently.

Yeah, that is why I went with the Hornady bullets. Alot cheaper for plinking. I still cannot believe how little recoil this rifle generates with the Accubrake. I swear my .257 kicks as much (practically nothing, btw)
