Would this be as accurate as the mark V accumark?
MARK V ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT · Magnum 26"
Caliber: 257 Wby M.
Mfr. # UTS257WR60 · 215079
$1,699.95 x [ADD TO CART]

I'd almost ask that question in the hunting firearms section. Just because they probably use the weatherby rifles and calibres more there.

cause I dunno.....

Maybe. Individual rifles vary. As a general rule (and it's a VERY general rule), heavier barrels tend to shoot better groups longer, that is, they take longer to heat up. Other then that, it will all depend on the individual gun. Was the chamber cut with a fresh, sharp reamer? Or one that was at the end of it's service life? How was the barrel attached? Like cars, was it a Monday gun or a Wednesday gun? There's just so many variables. Another thing is the choice of cartridge. While the 257 Wby is a good, accurate hunting round, it's not the darling of the benchrest set for a reason (a bunch of reasons, actually). So the short answer is "maybe". FWIW - dan

Accumark .257

I own an accumark in .257 , Its an excellent hunting rifle a bit heavey but managable , on the bench it will shoot under an inch at 100 yards , not a bench rest tack driver. Its a well built rifle and the .257 has no problem knocking down moose and elk , I use the 120 grain Partitions :sniper:

I couldnt find one so I ordered a sako 7mm wsm
SAKO 85 STAINLESS/SYNTHETIC · "SM" Action
Caliber - 7mm WSM
Mfr. # JRS1B42 · 229958
$1,649.95
I already have a vanguard and a 7mm weatherby mag in an accumark.
