Weatherby flame orange stocked rifle?

I knew they'd become a classic. Where are they all? Should have got one while I could.

Have one in 243, it's in a B&C stock now, I still have the Flamo-Camo stock though.
They were the Weatherby X models, the stocks were S1 type with S2 actions, they had some strange patterns for this line....

I have a vanguard compact in the antler pattern (not as bad as the flames) in .243 when Wholesale was selling them for $399.

I kinda agree. My favorite in a hunting rifle is a combo of nicely figured wood and bright blued steel. However, a while back I did weaken and picked up a pair of Weatherby Vanguard 2 WBY Blaze-X from a couple of gentlemen on site. One in .270 Winchester and the other in .300 Winchester Mag. They do look a little different.

They shoot great and a good starting rifle for someone getting into hunting.

Got them, just for something a little different. And they do, add a little colour to the safe .

Can't really see those rifles as being classic or collectable ; but I might buy one if it was cheap enough . Different strokes for different folks I guess .

I just spray painted the hideous flame stock and now it is pleasing. It sure is accurate as fack. Mine in .223 is the most accurate centerfire I own and I own lots.
