With ugly wood like that... $50 bucks. Send it to me to dispose of properly.

Really nice gun. I would say $1500 without looking at it closer. Maybe more or less. I think the Euros are pretty sweet.

Yeah I bought it on wimm its dressed with a leupold 6.5-20x40mm ao on conetrol bases and rings .I got it with 9 boxes of ammo for under 2k.:D
with 16 rounds fired through it its an early 86 production going by the serial #.I think I did gooood :D

The Euromarks came out of the Weatherby Custom factory and are on the same level or or slightly higher than the Lazermarks. You would be looking to pay about $2000-2700 for one NIB.

I wouldn't think about letting it go for less than $1500 and would try for $2000.

Weatherby Deluxe wood is AAA fancy and the Euromark is a step up from there and generally hand oiled.

The Wby 257 is a great calibre (one of the cheapest to buy ammo for, compared to other Wby's). You can take anything from a Coyote to a Large Buck (200+lbs from experience) out to about 400 yards with confidence and without much thought or calculation.

The 257 and 300 are the two most popular Wby chamberings. I own a Mark V 257 and 300 and they are great rifles/shoot flat/and are hard hitting.

Very nice rifle!

The local shop (~1995-ish) had two NIB leftovers of them, one in 7mm Wby and the other in .270 Wby. The price was $1299 each. I ended up buying a .300 Wby Deluxe (new, same price) because I didn't like the chamberings in the Euromarks. Too bad, because I really prefer the oil finished stocks.

My friend also bought a Fibermark in .257 at the same time - it was also just over $1000.

Edit - I don't know about now, but in those days the Euromark was not a Custom Shop rifle - it was simply an oil finished stock with matte bluing vs. shiny bluing/stock on the regular Mk. V Deluxe.

awesome rifle

That is Bar none the best looking 257 Weatherby euro mark i've ever seen.
You could get around $1700.00 For that Rifle, because it has such a higher Grade of wood.

Weatherby Brought back the euromarks again in 2010.I Bought one this spring.I got a 240 Wby Mag in a euromark. The Rifle came Straight From the Factory and it Cost me $2100.00 including Tax.

what country was your 257 wby Built in? german made weatherby's are more Valuable!!!

This year I bought a NIB Weatherby Euromark,$2100.00 and a NIB weatherby Lazermark NIB, $2300.00,pretty close but the Lazermarks are still more money.

Interesting thread , a buddy of mine has quite a collection & was asking me about what his weatherby's would be worth . He has two japanes made a 300 & 340 in hunted condition & a german made one in 7 mm wby in very good condition .Any Ideas what a german one might be worth ?

Add about $200-500 for a German Weatherby. They also retain their value better.

All Weatherby's are generally good Weatherby's, whether from Japan, US or Germany.

The German made Weatherby's were made by Sauer with Sauer made German barrels.

Some of the distaste for the Japanese Weatherby's are linked to old stereo types "Buy American" "Germans make good guns" etc.

My 300 Wby is from Japan and works just fine, so does my US 257 Wby.

I've Got Four Weatherby Mark V's(All Wood), and My Most accurate Bee is by Far the one that was Made in west Germany.it is chambered in the 300 Wby mag.

I will never sell this Rifle,Even When I die I want to be Barried with it:D
