Anyone played with one of the NEW Weatherby Orion O/Us?

I've found a little bit online about them (Apparently a 686 clone, turkish made, no real complaints besides the forearm being fat ...but also no real practical reports).

I've seen some listed for sale by a Canadian retailer, but they're 3000 km away. Doesn't appear to be any local yet, but prices seem pretty reasonable if its not too bad. Yes yes, I know, for the same price I could get something used that initially cost more. But... what about this gun?

Have you tried any of the shotgun forums?
There are a few good ones(shotgun forums) and those guys generally do not hold anything back.
What sort of price is crappytire offering them for?
Bonus is that one can either pay with ctire money or get ctire money in return.

Still waiting to get them from our Wby wholesaler.

Ordered a couple back in December but nothing yet. Plan on giving one a good going over when they come it.

If the pre-sale order price holds (dollar has flopped a lot since then) I expect to tag them somewhere in the $1400-1500 range.

That would be why I posted as list price, eh.
Canadian dealers often cannot buy at as low a price as the lowest US discounter.
Sucks, but the facts of life.

jsquig, went to shotgun world this morning and tried to search for the new Orion.
Found lots of old posts and few new.
They where once made under the SKB name made in Japan.
Found two current threads from 2013 and 2015 and these are now Turkish manufactured guns.
Some say a copy of the Beretta 686 but then there is speculation which then leads me to think there is more speculation than fact.
Didnt delve deeper than the one search and will leave that to your sleuthing abilities ;)
