weatherby sa 08 shotgun stock removal help?

combines44 from the picture it would appear Wby has instructed the manufacturer to glue the pad on.
but, if you look closely at your picture and from the toe of the but pad about one inch up there appears to be a plug in the rubber....
It appears to be a small round slight indentation there...
Poke around and see if the rubber is indeed ''detented'' there (if that is such a word) you might have to punch through and find the screw head if in fact it is not glued.
Just spit balling ...

There should be two small vertical slits in the recoil pad about an inch from the top and bottom. You can find them by tugging at the opposite edges of the recoil pad or by probing the upper surface with a lubricated Philips screw driver. When you find the slits place a drop of oil or paste wax on the tip of a Philips screw driver and on the slits. This will lubricate the slit and prevent the rubber from shredding. Push the screw driver into the sit and probe for the screw head. In most cases the screw is a medium sized Philips. Push down on the recoil pad with your free hand to keep it in contact with the stock. As you unscrew the screw it will eventually emerge from the upper surface of the recoil pad. Hope this helps.

Cheers
