hey everyone i may have posted this in the wrong area but i am trying to find an online dealer what has a 20 moa base that will fit my weatherby vangaurd 308 i am currently shooting this rifle with a vortex viper pst and low mount talley rings and at 600 yards am running out of turret adjustment so now im in the serch for a canted base not only so i can get some more moa outta my turrets but also so i can take some zero stop shimms out so my zero is lower on the turret its pretty cranked up as it is to get a zero any sugestions thanks..

I believe the Wby Vanguard uses the same pattern as a Rem 700. Maybe check that out, should make finding one a lot easier. - dan
Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply has them. And they are about the highest quality you can get. I have a 0 MOA on mine and I love it. Fits perfectly, I can take my scope on and off repeatedly and it returns to Zero every time. They don't have a online store but a quick phone call and your rail will be in the mail that day.

2 piece Remington bases fit the short action, 1 piece DO NOT. EGW and a few others make Vanguard/Howa 1500 1 piece bases. Apparently the long action 700/Vanguard 1 piece bases interchange but I know for a fact that short action bases do not. Try Barton's Big Country Outdoors (site sponsor) They usually have EGW in stock.

The 1 pieces do fit, you just can't use all the mounting holes.

You mean you can only use 2 holes. The fronts or the rears but not both lol. They don't fit. I'm not saying that cos I heard it in a gun store, I'm saying it cos I took both rifles side by side with a Remington 1 piece base and saw for myself. The front receiver ring scope base hole spacing is the same, the rear receiver bridge scope base hole spacing is the same. The spacing between each set of holes is different. Bolt either end up and the other will not line up. The Vanguard uses 4 #6-48 mounting holes the same as Remington. 2 piece bases fit but to my knowledge I think just Nightforce make a set in 20 MOA. I'm talking about short actions, I hear the long action bases interchange but have not done it myself.

Oh well I guess both my short action vanguards are miracles because I have two 700 bases on them and I use one hole at the front and one at the rear.
