I just bought a weatherby vanguard 22-250 and am topping it with a Bushnel 6-18x50 banner.
I run IMR4320 thru my 243 with 87g Vmax and get nickel size groups at 200yds with it.
Is anyone running IMR4320 with a 22-250 and how have your experiences been?
I have a few pounds if it and would really like to stick with one powder. I see it is near the burn rate of Varget on my Hornady chart. But I have no experience with Varget, although I know everyone likes it.
Thoughts? Reccomendations? I'll be using it for a coyote loads as I am primarily a varmint hunter.
Any input would be appreciated cause I've only been reloading for a year and still have lots to learn.
Thxs

I have not used 4320 in the 22-250, but have used it successfully in the 225 Winchester and the 220 Swift, so no reason that it will not work.

It loads very close to IMR 4064, perhaps just a tad slower. This also puts it in Varget territory.

Sorry, I have no loads to share, but You should be able to find a load that works.

Cheers, Dave.

I know I have a recipe in my Hornady book, ill start with that. But it's great to hear everyone's experiences and thoughts. Defiantly gives me more to think abotu and research.
Thx for responding.

Hodgdon gives 34.0 to 36.5 of IMR4320 with a 55 grain bullet. Work up a load and see of your rifle likes it. Wiley won't care.
