I'm trying to find a Canadian source for the Weatherby Vanguard detachable magazine kit for 30-06.

So far no luck as it seems everyone that has it listed on their website is out of stock.

This is the product:

If anyone can point me at a supplier I'd appreciate it!

I've fairly recently acquired a pair of Weatherby Vanguard S2 Blaze models, one in 300WM and the other in 270Win. I picked up a detachable kit for each as well as a spare mag for each. I haven't installed them yet as I want to 'play' with them both as is for the time being. Both of these detachable kits and the spare mags I purchased through Clay at Prophet River Firearms, a site sponsor.

The detachable magazine kit sold by Legacy Sports for the Howa 1500/Weatherby Vanguard is not the same as the kit offered by Weatherby:

Legacy Sports kit:

Weatherby kit:

I don't like how the Legacy Sports kit hangs down and I have a Howa 1500 with this kit and dropping the magazines accidentally is too easy with where the mag release is positioned and how sensitive it is.

The listing on Prophet River's site doesn't have a photo so I can't tell what it is:

Thanks for the info, :) much appreciated. The Legacy kits I got from Prophet River are like the Legacy 5 shot kits in the info on your post. ;) Admittedly, not the cutest girl on the beach. Oh, tried the mag release, the positioning could be improved but doesn't seem overly sensitive. Also, the location of the release on the Weatherby kit doesn't appear to be located in a much different location than that of the Legacy. Oh well, it'll give me something to 'play' with.
