Weatherby vanguard?Anyone have one?

Mine's a .243 with the oddball rubbery black spider-webbed stock, looks for all the world like a McMillan and it came bedded, like some of the subMOA's. Damned accurate since I put a Timney trigger in it. Great coyote/deer whacker as the action seems very strong - most of my hunting loads in 95 gr and the 85 gr TSX are between 1.0 and 1.5 grs over book max, no pressure problems whatsoever. Fun to shoot, and yeah, no clip - floorplate.

Thanks for the reply. Can u unload with the floor plate,or u have to use the bolt?

I have two Vanguard sub-MOA's one in 22-250 the other is in 300WSM. Both are very accurate. I haven't reloaded for the 300 yet but with factory ammo .75" @ 100 all day. The 22-250 will shoot cloverleafs at 100 no problems. For the money they are a good gun, although I find the 22-250 with a target scope on it too heavy to be comfortably used as a coyote calling rifle. Would I buy another....yes, next one will be a .7-08!

I have 2 of them, 30-06 and 338 win. mag. best shooting rifles I have ever owned. Drop floor plate make it so u can't loose the clip. I will be buying another one this summer in a 22-250 cal.

I have had winchesters, rugars and remingtons, nothing will beet the gun or price.

My 2 cents

me too

I too have a Vanguard sub moa...mine is in .3006, I have owned just about everything on the market and this is a very nice rifle, well worth the extra dough for the sub, stock is called a fibre guard and its bedded , , awesome guns, and............all metal!!!!!!
