An old girl come back to life. They stopped making them back when because of the cost. Now she's back again Very nice rifle, a bit heavy, but well made.

The vanguard is well made and a good value for the price as are any of the howa rifles.

Only touched them, but if you are a fan of nice wood, they sell in Edmonton at P&D for $999.00

I have been lurking for quite a while,looking for the right deal on a used rifle.
I never really found what I was looking for.So I went shopping for something new.

Today I just picked up a Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe in 30-06 cal
With a Leupold VX III 3.5 -10x50
I can't wait to run some rounds through it.

Hey, Thanks for the welcome everyone!
From what I am reading I think I got a good price on this rifle $899.99
at Canuck Tire Mac Trail Calgary.

Great service great price. Plus I got enough Canadian Tire bucks to buy a box of shells
I will let you all know how it shoots by Monday eve. ( I hope)
