Weatherby Vanguard in 375H&H?

The vanguards and how as are fine rifle for the $...... If you are looking for a budget .375 though, I would suggest you look at the zastavas as well....... Either way, at their price point, you can't go wrong.....

I think PR brought some in as I seem remember them posting a thread about it and me drooling all over the key board. I'd like to hear from any of Clay's happy customers about them as well.

Think you could convert it to 458WM?

The Original Vanguard was easily converted. No reason the S2 could not be done the same.

However, you should seriously consider a heavier barrel contour for the 458, as the rifle is quite light enough as a 375 H&H.

Friend here saw mine, and would like to barrel one up to 416 Chatfield-Taylor. He already has one in a Ruger, and wants another. He is especially impressed with the S2 trigger.

One more thing, a 458 in Blazo stock would be awesome! :)

Thanks. I like the idea of one in 458, not necessarily with the flamey stock, but ya never know.

The stock also needs to be reinforced with cross-bolts and the action bedded properly. My buddy didn't bother, and the action walked right through the recoil lug mortise.

Not hard to do, and hasn't whimpered since the repair.
