Weatherby Vanguard S1 DBM

I have a Weatherby S1 in .270 Win, it came with the detachable magazine. The rifle shoots great, but I'm not fussy for the magazine.
I know you can buy a parts kits to convert a hinged floor plate to a db magazine, but has anyone done the opposite, or have any idea where I might be able to get the parts?

Well, if the detachable mag with work with my S2 version of the Wby I am interested.

According to the Weatherby website the kit will fit any Vanguard rifle in .270 Win, 30-06, or .25-06

Ya, I found the detachable mag in my series 1 30-06 to be loose. In fact, sometimes I would have to give it a push to feed the next round. I bought a second mag, thinking it might have just been a dud, but same thing with the second one. Other than that, I really liked it, very light trigger and very accurate. Regret selling it, but needed the dough.
