Whose the expert (s) ?

I have an older Vanguard nee 1989 with an original synthetic stock in 7mm mag.
I noticed an S2 stock for sale in the EE with the info stating it came from the same
caliber as mine.

So the question is, are these stock interchangeable?

The S2 offers up a decent palm swell and the griptonic skin is appealing.

I also wonder about the weight factor?
Same, less, more......................................dunnoh?

Looky, I cannot dogmatically say for that older Vanguard. However, I have exchanged S1 and S2 stocks on more recent manufactured Vanguards
without any issues at all. I am going to stick my neck out and say it will fit just fine. Cannot speak for the weight factor. Dave.

I can attest to that as well. As for weight, they are a bit on the heavy side but not enough to deter me from using them.

This Vanguard I have is an older version of the S1's.

You all sure they fit?

I called Weatherby and gave them this info and they were supposed to call me back
to confirm their knowledge.
No call from them.

Not sure about the weight, but the stock will fit.
