Any thoughts on this scope.
I had a Leupold Vari X III on my 22 but it is a hunting scope with probably a 150 yard parallax.
The AO on the Weaver shows 50, 100, 200 and 1000 yards.
It appears to track reliably and with a little more fiddling will get the diopter adjustment more attuned to me.
Value???

Mechanically pretty good scopes. The microtrac and AO are excellent features. The ability to hold zero while changing power is hit or miss and can vary (from little POI change to lots) each time you run the power up and down (not uncommon with lots of variable power scopes - excluding FFP) AND you must decide for yourself if the image is satisfactory: lots of other scopes have better contrast and clarity compared to a weaver variable - including the Japanese produced Weavers which are better optically.
I like them but be aware of their age and the limitations noted above.

Thank you AP
For $20 it will fill the gap and if there is ever a failure it can double as a hammer.
Had my target at 50 yards so when I tried 3X I could not see the rings on a BR50 type target.
Will check that out later.
