I have recently acquired a Webley and Scott Bayonet training Musket . I am wondering if there is any interest out there and what the collector value would be ?
The overall length is about 63.5 inches. Here are some photos.

I have seen pre-war Polish and British manuals on rifle (musket) fencing. If i remember correctly both used exactly the same (or very much the same) training aids like you have on the pictures.

Is front part on your example equipped with stiff spring under 'bayonet"?Some drawings in manuals implied that "bayonet" is a moving part (to prevent accidental injury?) but I have never seen one.

I have no clue what's the value of it.Just like everything it all depends on buyer.

The spring is reasonable...the idea wasn't to inflict injuries, it was to make the men deadly with a bayonet and survivable in hand to hand.

These gents I believe to be Canadians...can anyone confirm?

These are pics from the net, not of my bayonet trainer.

Ooo,nice to see disassembled pic-thx
It's even better to see picture of lads who used them-look at the protective jacked, gloves and helmet.
They look like actual fencing protection gear just beefed-up A LOT.No wonder, those trainers weight few pounds and can leave pretty good bruise.
Notice lack of or very small flat part on the end of bayo-early models/picture? That will hurt...

Question-is there any rifle fencing training being done these days in Canadian Army (or any army)or is it long gone?
