Webley loads needed!

Wouldn't bother with BP myself.
"...45 Auto Rim (ACP on moons)..." It's a rimmed .45 ACP. Made for revolvers chambered in .45 ACP, not .455 Webley. Bullet diameter is smaller than a .455. .452" usually. The rim is quite a bit smaller, but much thicker than the .455's rim too.
A moon clip is for using .45 ACP in revolvers.
I have Auto Rim data if you want it. All cast bullet data. 185, 200, 225 and 238 grains.
There's data here under .451 too. http://stevespages.com/page8a.htm

In a 250 gr + or - bullet you'll want to start around 3.5 gr of unique and can work up from there. I know some of the guys here are shooting up to 6 gr but I prefer to stay under 5 myself. I find soft lead cast SWC bullets aroiung 250gr shoot much better in my MKII than the original HBRN 265 grain stuff.... I also found 6gr blue dot very accurate although rather dirty.

o.k. thanks Stranger, I was a little confused at the selection, I'm not used to that type, but I've heard a little about it. So the trail boos is ok too...I should buy a pound of each if I can get my hands on them

Trail Boss was introduced as a replacement of BP for cowboy loads... turns out to be great for almost any light loads, very low density, hard to overload. You can not even put a pound of TB in a standard bottle, only 8 or 9 oz. ;)

Hey, loaded up 4gr. of Unique behind a 250gr SWC and it shot well. A little lead fouling but no other problems. Thanks guys, let the experimenting begin!!

Glad I could be of some help. Not sur how 7625 compares as I've only ever worked with unique and blue dot in the webley....
