I have an opportunity to acquire a WS Target (Mark VI with a 7.5" Barrel) but the extractor assembly is worn and the cylinder does not lock up. Any idea where I would start to find this part? Would I be better served just looking for a whole cylinder? What changes are made with converting a gun to .45 ACP as I want to be able to shoot .455 out of this pistol, not .45.

Thanks!

The changes made are the back of the cylinder is shaved to accomadate the .45ACP round on half-moon clips.
However .45 Auto rim brass is available from a couple of the big dealers and the thicker rims allow it to function as individual rounds. Just buy the brass, load it in .455 Webley dies with the right shell holder. Western Bullet Company does sell the hollow based Webley bullets if you don't want to buy the mould. I believe Buffalo Arms does as well

Arfe you sure the extractor is worn or maybe the hand is out of adjustment

How to tell if the cylinder is shaved. didtance between the rear face of the cylinder at the top and the recoil shield .044 accept .049 reject

I haven't measured anything but the extractor is visibly worn down. The lever that engages the cylinder is fine and it turns in until it gets to the worn part and then skips over leaving the cylinder out of alignment.
