Wondering how many of the converted Webley Mk VI's are out there and what they are going for these days. .455's seem to be going anywhere between $300 and $600 depending on condition. Only thing I worry about is how many full house 45ACP loads have been shot through the old Webley's, as its way too high a pressure cartridge. Only reason I'm after the .45ACP version is because of the use of moon clips for reloading as I think it would be a fun gun to run in a competitive setting.
They are easy to find in the US as most of them were converted after WWII but we got more in .455 and kept them that way. I don't have cash in hand to buy one right now but I'd like to know how much I need! (AKA how many I need to sell) and don't feel like wasting anyone's time posting a WTB on the EE just to feel it out.
Any info appreciated.
