Hey guys,
I have the opportunity to buy a Webley MkVI in good condition. It is a 455, 6" barrel and it appears to be dated 1918. Condition overall is good in my opinion. The barrel and chambers are shiny with no visible wear or pitting.

The cylinder lockup is a little loose but not terrible. It is also missing the lanyard ring. The finish looks to be about right for something that could have been carried in France.

I'm just wondering what the value might be, and if there is anything in particular I should be looking for. Sorry, no pictures at the moment!

Cheers,
Branden

I just paid $750.00 for a very nice 1917 Mk VI with a very good finish-no patina, rust, or pitting. All parts there and mega tight. Remember that the Webley will have a bit of cylinder play until the weapon is cocked and the trigger is pulled, at which point the lockup should be tested with the hammer eased forward to the rest point, but not reset, and the trigger held back. There is also a Mk VI on Wanstall's used list for 850.00 which appears to have a slightly better finish than mine, and might be worth a look.

Fiocchi ammo is currently available at Canada Ammo on this site.
