Webley's RIC NO 1 .476 CF

I need some advise from others who are much more knowledgeable on these. I have had this revolver for years and now just getting around to wanting to try it. Can this revolver, if in good condition handle firing factory new manufacture .455 Webley ammunition from Fiocchi? The ultimate goal here is to handled reduce loads for this revolver but wanting to use freshly fired brass from these factory Fiocchi boxes I have on hand.

good pictures of the gun is a must to answer your question. barrel condition? proof marks? otherwise if you afraid to pull the trigger, take it to gunsmith or pull factory loads apart and reload with lighter charge or different powder?

You might be better off starting with loads that do not give you concern.

In my experience with 455 Fiocchi brass, don't bother reloading with it. It has small primer pockets and even with small magnum or rifle primers it will never get the more complete powder ignition that you will get with large primers. This will result in lower velocities and possible squibs. Starline 455 is large primer.
