I'm going to be in Sault Ste Marie next week and was wondering if there are any decent gun shops or surplus shops that I should see.

Thanks all for any help.

Unfortunately there isn't really that much in the way of good gun shops or surplus here. There is Perry's which generally is overpriced and hunting orientated, but that being said occasionally you find a decent deal there (though I have been burned a fair bit there so I tend to avoid it). Otherwise the only other gunshop in the Sault is NAS GUNs and they are more into the shotgun/more modern firearm type market. It is a very small shop and I have only been there once or twice (it is fairly new and doesn't really stock the stuff that interests me so I don't have much more to say on it).

The only surplus store is Joe's surplus, which occasionally has some interesting things but for the most part is a outdoor outfitter store than anything else.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.

Thanks Eaglelord17, it's been about 16 years since I last spent any time in the town. Will have to try and hit up Joe's Surplus at least and maybe Perry's. My main interest nowadays is more militaria so the modern guns don't have a real hold on me.

Thanks again.

I'm on my way up probably tomorrow. Check the cabin etc. I havent been to Perry's in a while but I drop by occasionally....its worth a visit and generally I dont spent much/any money there.

Aurora's West side for Italian food..... We tend to pop in every time we're in town.
The last time I was in Joe"s Surplus, there was not a firearm in sight. - hunting / camping gear.

I didnt get a chance to visit Marconi's....Aurora is popular and I have been there several times. Wasn't super impressed and the last time it smelled of stale beer (or something....) I would drop in if friends wanted to go....but my wife wont go in there again.
