Weight sort pistol bullets?

Not me.. Personally I'm simply not that good enough to notice in my groups even "if" my pistol bullets were plus/minus a grain or two. But then I don't compete in the precision side of handgun shooting either.

Waste of time for a pistol

Well, that depends.

Revolver cartridges, and even more so pistol cartridges, have small powder volumes, so variations on powder and bullet weight as well as variations in seating depth can have pretty dramatic effects. Usually jacketed bullets tend to be pretty uniform for weight, but not so cast bullets which might vary several grains. If you are loading to maximum based on the advertised bullet weight, and you load a heavy one, you might experience a problem. So when I load cast bullet loads to maximum, I'll weigh the bullets to ensure that I don't mix in a heavy one; thus its a safety control rather than an accuracy enhancer.
