Weihrauch HW100 T

Congratulations on choosing one of the very best PCP's available. Keeping in mind that air rifles shoot best at an MV of no more than 900 - 950 fps (beyond which pellets become unstable), they are adjustable for muzzle velocity and shot count per fill.
Here in Canada, I would think there is a strong challenge from a rimfire rifle, but the PCP is simply quieter and as much fun.
The fully shrouded barrel (FSB) models are reportedly quieter than the standard HW100, which like most PCP's, can be quite loud. I don't know if the HW100 FSB available in Canada is indeed "fully shrouded" as that is contrary to the law, like a moderator.

CCI "Quiet" 22LR is darn near as quiet as a PCP...shoots 40gr bullets at about 710fps. I really wish we were allowed suppressors here though...that's one area where the UK is way ahead.

I do like my HW98 though.

Well I am inclined to interject a small story that has always annoyed me when I think of it. Right, wrong or indifferent - I was not happy. I had ordered a new airgun from a western supplier. It arrived after several weeks but the box was broken and was unsealed. The airgun itself was pristine though other than a small almost imperceptible nick in the barrel seal. I called to enquire why the factory box wasnt sealed and to mention the damage to the box.

I was told that "they open all boxes before they are delivered to customers and test fire the airgun before it goes out as a service to customers."

I didnt ask for that service. And I wasnt enthusiastic about the damage to the factory packaging ... other than that - yes it shot fine. But was this really a 'value added service' or a way of culling out the best performing airguns for themselves or their special customers? Or was it a demo unit that was returned to obtain a factory fresh unit....? Unnecessary questions in my mind as a result of a dealer providing a 'service' this customer didnt want.

(fwiw I keep all the boxes from new firearms I purchase so 'IF' I sell them - the buyer gets everything the firearm came with....which is why I prefer undamaged packaging with the serial number matching the firearm - just another quirk of mine)

It think it's more of a way of "preventing" returns... If you read AirgunNations (or other airgun forum), seems to be a common practice.
- Right now, many folks will not by a Fx Impact unless it's been tested for leak/function prior to shipping.
Seems like it easier to do this, than have to deal with the "warranty" to have the issues fixed.

No 30-Day Trial Period!

That is why I thoroughly test Yours before I ship it to You.

Others may not tell you this up front... but I will- I will not mislead you. The FX policy is: once they are sold, they stay sold... once you receive it, it is considered a "used" gun and therefore no longer new and cannot be taken back and sold as new. If there is a mal-function, you are covered of course under the manufacturer's warranty and I will make those arrangements for you. There is no 30-day trial period like there is for other air guns on my website. So please be sure that you want one of these air guns before you place your order. That is why I test yours thoroughly before I ship it to you. If it is not right, you will never see it. Again, I will not be able to accept an FX return for any reason.

I have no issue with an open box (from a retailer I trust)... a damaged box would probably annoy me.
