Weihrauch Laminated Stocks...Your opinion?

Anyone have a HW77k or 97k with the laminated stock? What is your opinion on them? The underlever is already a heavier gun and without being able to handle the beech stock and laminate side by side its difficult to judge just how each balances.

Tagged for interest. I have a 97KT with the synthetic stock and have been thinking about replacing the stock with a non-thumbhole wood stock.

I have a 97kl, the blue/grey is beautiful, but it's definitely a tank of an air rifle. It's pretty darn accurate being a fixed barrel and underlever so I'm usually resting it and taking longer shots than I would with a break barrel or co2 rifle. It's not one you would want to do a lot of off hand shooting with.

Sounds like you expect them to balance differently. Why? One might be slightly heavier than the other, but the weight distribution will be the same.

I have HW97K .22 in blue laminate as well as a .177 in synthetic stock. I haven’t weighed them, but they are so close in weight that I can’t tell which is lighter or heavier without using a scale. I also have beech, laminate and synthetic stocks for other rifles and weight or balance differences are negligible if any.

Being that heavy, a few ounces more or less will be hard to discern.

Decided on a beech stock. I stared at countless images and decided I'm more of a traditionalist at heart!

I'll likely order the 77k in 22. I plan on using irons so the 97 won't work.

The irons sights are nice, and it's still easy to add a scope later on if you decide to do so. You will not regret getting that quality rifle.

Good choice. I have two 97Ks and have no regrets, but I kinda like the idea of the the iron sights of the 77 as well as the 370mm barrel on the 77K vs the 300mm on the 97K. I'm sure accuracy would be the same.

HW97 with laminated stock is heavy, but provides the best accuracy and competes even with a PCP

would like to try thumb-hole synthetic stock for HW97, anybody sells one? or can offer to hold it in GTA area?

77 is lube tuned with a krytox
but 97 still more accurate to a point that it can be your only air rifle
