My 1942 Finnish M91 is marked VKT on top of the barrel shank and Tikka (T in a triangle) on the bottom. Anyone ever hear tell of this? (I can take pics if necessary but it is exactly as I have described and I'm too lazy to take it apart)
If its a T in a triangle and not a T in a circle in a triangle (1940-43 markings) it might be a reused tikka Barrel since u say its a 42 and T In a triangle is a 1925-27 marking. It wasn't uncommon for them to just throw all available part together to make guns http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinM91F.htm This link should shed some light in what you have. From what I hear Finn mosins shoot quite a bit better then their Russian counterparts and they can have very nice stock to so win win
P.s pic are not necessary but they will be appreciated
