Used to be that the top was prohibited (12.2 FA), now they all are...

In fairness, the FA components _were_ easily swappable onto the semi guns (mainly the WW2 era ones - they were designed with that in mind)

In fairness we aren't criminals, so your comment is not relevant. Its a piss poor comment to justify the govt's actions.

Justifying - no. But perhaps something that can now be discussed more freely now that they are all prohibited.

Forgot you guys may still be sore from government actions. First time for some I suppose. So the title still applies, welcome to the club.

"In fairness"

I respectfully disagree. The automatic conversion kits for the M1 Carbine are themselves a prohibited device already. Any firearm that has been converted to automatic is also in itself already a prohibited firearm. These specific elements of legislation are not new. The fact that the US military procured automatic conversions for some of their carbines in the field as a result of the doctrinal use of these firearms, should have zero bearing on an unconverted rifle's legality so long as the firearms in question have not been converted and bear no prohibited devices (as was the legislation until yesterday).

The argument that a semi automatic rifle could technically be illegally modified take an already prohibited device to convert it illegally should have no bearing on any lawfully owned semi automatic rifles that were quite literally legal to own for licenced individuals before lunch yesterday.

The first rule of Carbine club. You don't speak of Carbine club. Second rule of Carbine club. You do not speak of the Carbine club.

But doesn't matter mines registered, so they know I got one. Sad thing is not many guns in this caliber so I got tones of ammo and a gun I cannot shoot it.

Meh. I have a registered m1 carbine. I suspect I will still own it when Nosferatu Carney becomes our unelected dictator tomorrow, and after PP becomes our democratically elected prime minister and reverses all this nonsense.
