After a lot of testing, buying a new B&C stock and doing tests with 3031 and Varget I have finally hit the sweet spot. Seems Varget 43.7 or 43.8grn's, Hornaday 168grn HPBT in Winchester brass and Winchester primers have produced some good groups. These were shot at 100 yards, reasonably calm conditions, overcast. I want to play around with OAL next to see if it makes any difference. The rifle is a Remington M700 SPS Varmint in .308 Win. Best group was 1/2 MOA.
What the heck I tried to include images but nothing showed up. What gives??
Let me try some links. https://flic.kr/p/xgq3nW https://flic.kr/p/x27ZZj And then the second one again with a ruler for scale. https://flic.kr/p/x2eCmr
