Tomorrow, my exam for restricted, talked to many, went to see a couple of friends to handle some handguns... Now, i got kind of schematic idea what i will do, first it is obvious, i need at least 4 calibers...
First a 22 lr that will be a full size , kind of a GSG, guess the basics will come from it... Second, i did look at many 1911 configuration handgun but in 9mm, if you ask me which one caught my eye, the Tanfoglio Stock ll XT in 9mm could be the one... Now no way, i will have handguns without owning a 357 mag, there to i have favorite but it's to early to be sure but a M&P S&W R8 got the nood or a 629, did not ruled out a Ruger GP 100 or 101...
And finally all my life i always have a coup de coeur for something, and here... A Desert Eagle in 44 mag really fascinate me... What's really exciting when you know you are on the verge of starting something almost unknown to you, is all the thinking, analyzing and febrility around it... JP.

Good luck! By the way, you may as well call your credit card company and see if they'll up your limit... You'll need it.

Please don't say S&W R8. Little baby Jesus will cry.
Don't buy a 1911 in 9mm. My first pistol was a 1911 in .45ACP.
I still have it and I love it.

Best of luck passing caramel ! Post pics of your new toys although I know you will ;) it was not to hard when I took it maybe its different now?

After reading hundreds of your posts, I know that you like nice, precise, quality stuff, so...

Python in 357
Hi-end 1911 in .45. Les Baer. guarenteed 10 shots in 1.5 inches at 50 yards.
Ar-15 or M-4 ????

After taking information, to get a NM AR-10, i was told that brand new one wont be here soon ( one year, maybe two), at this moment i dont see myself with a regular AR as 308 is what i really want... High end semi.. Yes that is a must and a 357 Python, did not see any at ours dealers but a good wheel gun is there in my near future... Exam is now done, waiting for the result... Guess the waiting game have begun... JP.

Just hope, i have time to fill up my RPAL demand before i leave for my house in France (leaving mid-October), if not, wont be able to do it until early December so getting caught in the Hollydays is not the best... I will only able to start shooting my restricteds in the late spring, early summer... JP.

Good luck!

Don't be in a big hurry to buy. Definitely start out with a .22. If you can get out to a handgun night at your local club, most of the guys will be good enough to let you shoot what they have. You can dump a ton of money of stuff you may lose interest in. I just cleared out a few pieces I just wasn't shooting because my taste changed as I got more familiar with handguns.

You'll also find that gun opinions are like #######s, everyone's got one. The only real test of a piece's value is if you like it.
