today, after trying to justify buying a new CZ Magnum in 375 H&H, i finally bought one. dealer in town had a hard time getting rid of it as it had been on the gun rack for about three years. got a smoking deal but they did not have any ammo! arg, but anyway, i guess i will have to wait until i get a box of ammo, or until i get my reloading stuff together.

on another note, can you guys help me with some different loads with different bullets and powder?

and, i would love to put up some pictures but i dont have the know-how or an online picture account.

Congrats on the new rifle you won't regret it. I love my .375's so much they have caused my .338 to become a shut-in! I shoot barnes 270 gr tsx's in one and I will be shooting 300 gr tsx's in the other I just finished building.

You will get plenty of advice from some very experienced users of this great cartridge.

Enjoy

Haha thanks. i will try it when I get to my computer. and will take better photos. and i thought about what I had posted. i couldn't justify it, but I still had to buy it. . and, thanks for the bullet recommendation.

no wonder why he couldn't sell it in 3 years. Been about that long since Ruger introduced the King ;) enjoy your new H&H!

A couple of years ago, my Son In Law lent me a custom 375 H&H he has that was built on a Sako action. I never got the opportunity to hunt with it but I did get to 'play' and punch a fair amount of paper with it. When I picked up the rifle, while in the Edmonton area I stopped in at P&d for my usual shopping trip and picked up a selection of bullets to put through it. One of the best accuracy results I got was with a near maximum charge of IMR 4350 behind the Hornady 300gr RN IB bullet. The Hornady IB bullets apparently left a lot to be desired as a big game bullet but I did get better accuracy with it than I did with others I tried.

Congrats on the new rifle and a wonderful caliber choice! Recoil is not as bad as some say and I've only heard good things about the CZ rifle. I own two 375's and love them one loves the 270 TSX and the other likes the 260 gr. Nosler Partion. If you choose one or the other you can't go wrong!

i load as much winchester 760 as the case will allow and a 270g hornaday sp. you don't need super bullets with the h&h until you hunt things that bite back.
