Well it was a long wait, but finally... :dancingbanana:

I will definitely be scoping up, sighting in and heading out to call up some yotes this weekend.

First impressions.... It is light weight, it does feel a bit cheap, but hey... it is cheap! The trigger is exceptional, especially considering the price point. The magazine goes in and out smooth and easy. I'll follow up with some accuracy reports once I get a chance to shoot it.

Haven't wanted a rimfire in quite awhile, but that .17wsm is an interesting thought... Mostly cuz I could say to the brother-in-law "Hey, my .17s bigger than your .17!" lol

If all you want is a bigger 17 why not go with the new 17 hornet or the 17 fireball. They are both a jump over a rimfire round

Meh, already reload .222 and that does me fine for the vermin:) A 3000fps rimfire tho... that would take gopher getting to a whole new place. I agree with you tho in terms of coyotes, not sure that teeny boolit is up for it.

Yup a gopher gun is my thought. My forman shot a coyote in the boiler room at 50 yards with a hummer and it took off like it was fine.

So I got the scope mounted up and went out to try my luck.

First, some notable stuff...
The bolt can be a bit sticky at times, but seems to be improving with use. The bolt stop is catching a bit and may need some work to smooth it out.

Trigger is not bad... a bit of creep, but breaks clean. The "Accu-trigger lever" was sticking a bit when depressed and released without firing, but I think that is some grease that is not "cold friendly", it works fine indoors.

The magazine is a bit picky when loading, it doesn't rotate to the next "chamber" as easily as I'd like. That may improve with more use... it seems a bit easier each time.

The fore end is so flimsy, it is pathetic, and that is my biggest complaint so far.

Accuracy... was pretty sketchy at first... printing 3" groups the first 2 or 3 tries, but started to improve and after 30 rounds or so, it is fairly reliably printing 1 1/4 or so groups with both 20 and 25 grain ammo. There is room for improvement for sure, and I am hoping with a bit of tuning and more break-in, consistent 1" groups are in the future.

All in all, I am not sorry I bought it and with the price considered, it is a neat little toy. The uber-cheap stock is making it hard to love though.

Some pics...

It is 133 yards from end to end, I am set up at 100 though. Now if only it had heat... still, much warmer than outside so I won't complain.

And (OUT) I can't see a coyote walking away from that...

And some other junk laying around the place...

Glad you got it all fixed up. Doesn't look to bad.

Depends on the hit and how much the coyote wants to live. The 223 does a lot more damage to a 2x6 on exit then that and after a vmax to the boiler room some still run. Good luck though
