I WILL go with a LTR in 308, then when the founds are here add V bull DM,McMillan A5 stock add a scope still don't know what glass to put on her...


then shoot it till I can get the S&B PMII 3-12 and new Barrel mounted in 243

this will do just right as my Wolf gun or my truck gun

I really want a custom but it will have to wait....I hope by the time a go to 243 I can get a 1/7 twist 6mm barrel in Canada from one of our great barrel makers

so if you guys where going to mount a scope on this out of these three what would you pick

#1 NightForce 3.5-15x56 NXS with the NP-R2 reticle

#2Leupold Mark4 3.5-10x40mm LR/T M2

#3Leupold Mark4 6.5-20x50mm LR/T

this rifle will be used for Target/Sniper matches first Wolves and deer second



or if anyone else has any other scopes I should look at please tell(NO SPRINGFIELD)

From what I hear the Mk4 M2 isn't very useful...I've got an M1 LR/T 4.5-14 with a TMR on the way though, and they're supposed to be pretty dang good.

I love my M4 3/9 M1 TMR lit-reticle on my SPR(AR)

the M2 sounds like a good idea

None of those listed........;)

S&B 5 - 25 X 56 PM-II with Illum. P4 Reticle all the way........:dancingbanana: :D :cool: ........if your budget allows.......;)

Actually those 3 scopes you listed are just fine.Nothing wrong with any of them.

My other scopes apart from the S&B are all Leupold Mk4 series, but I would not hesitate to try a Nightforce.

oh the only thing I don't like about the Nightforce scopes is the no rear flip up option......

Jamie not to get off topic but IMO if I were to go with another sniper rifle I would get one with a detachable mag. I used a MilCun rifle with the HS mag and it is the way to go. I know that this is not a rifle for "life and death" but I found having used both that the detachable mag was a big bonus. Just my opinion. Oh yea to answer the question, I have "no beefs" with the Mark 4 3.5X10 or the VarX 3 4X14. Leupold glass is excellent.

I will do the V bull or AICS mag system later it is a must on my list!!

The Badger DM Conversion is a rip off of the V-Bull DM conversion.

The V-Bull Conversion was out on the market first.Plus it is a Canadian made product from a Canadian compmany.:D ;)
