You know, I had my share of run-ins and "screaming matches" with various Board members over the years (mostly 2004-2006

), and maybe even Bud (I honestly don't remember), but for me, the situation was always clear: I might have disagreed (even passionately) with some position they had, and I was happy to argue and disagree, even publically, but I never lost sight of the overall contribution those people were making, and those arguments never affected my feelings towards them on a personal basic (like Quigley - I certainly threw some hand grenades his way as the pres of ipscont, but that never interfered with my ability to chat, joke, and go out for a drink/food with him as a fellow shooter, after a match).
I have a feeling that people are losing sight of this, re Bud. You might have not agreed with some/a lot of what he said/did, but come on, he did a LOT for ipsc ont. And even if it is time for him to step down to make room for new people who want to take over his responsibilities (I don't see a line up of people here...), let's give some thanks for past services, and not make references to putting an old dog down. That's just so uncalled for, it's offensive and ridiculous.
