Bud did SO much for IPSC Ontario half of which was in the background.

There is no way in hell ONE man would be able to do it again. Nor should anyone try.

Bud is a little bit more then just ONE man...Time for the old dog to be put down and let the new breed take over. The man wasn't a God. I bet anyone with dedication and passion could do it better then he did. Good riddance

The letter that was written to Kent and myself was NOT supported by the Board. It was written under the instruction of the President. It was her all along. I just found out the real story.
Rachel, congratulations for being the instrument that destroyed the IPSC Ontario Board.
Rachel do the honorable thing and resign.
Please do not make me post another letter. This on is very ugly compared to the first two.

Regardless if everyone agreed with every decision or not the man did a lot in running the sport. I don't see to many with that much time or dedication around.

You know, I had my share of run-ins and "screaming matches" with various Board members over the years (mostly 2004-2006 ), and maybe even Bud (I honestly don't remember), but for me, the situation was always clear: I might have disagreed (even passionately) with some position they had, and I was happy to argue and disagree, even publically, but I never lost sight of the overall contribution those people were making, and those arguments never affected my feelings towards them on a personal basic (like Quigley - I certainly threw some hand grenades his way as the pres of ipscont, but that never interfered with my ability to chat, joke, and go out for a drink/food with him as a fellow shooter, after a match).

I have a feeling that people are losing sight of this, re Bud. You might have not agreed with some/a lot of what he said/did, but come on, he did a LOT for ipsc ont. And even if it is time for him to step down to make room for new people who want to take over his responsibilities (I don't see a line up of people here...), let's give some thanks for past services, and not make references to putting an old dog down. That's just so uncalled for, it's offensive and ridiculous.

Well stated omen, the man deserves credit for everything he has done for the sport. I'll be penning the man a thankyou letter, and a respectful group of people would also all do the same.
