Don't know if this is the place to do this but ......

Came home early today and noticed a truck parked outside my place. Didn't think much of it until I saw him with his arm wrapped around her, smiling, coming down the driveway. I parked my truck down the road a bit and watched, kinda sick to my stomach.

I guess I had it coming. I hadn't spent alot of time with her, almost never took her out. We were together nearly 12 years. She never caused me any grief that I can remember. I just kinda left her at home alone. I guess it was just a matter of time. We sure had some good times together.

In her defence, I can see why she had to go. I'm no angel. I had a few others on the side, and had spent a lot more time with them that I had with her.

I sat there in my truck, and then I thought to myself "Ah, what the hell. Go with that new fella. You deserve each other." I can buy another Winchester 101 anytime..............and now I have to sign the divorce (er um, transfer) papers....

PART 2

Well, she left me PART 2

She’s gone. Another man is holding her tonite, checking out every inch of her I’m sure. But why should I care? It’s not like she ever loved me, or even liked me for that matter. I think she just felt like she was stuck with me, like some deal gone very bad for her.

I really enjoyed it when we would go out together. Always somewhere quiet, not a lot of people around. Usually out in the country, some secluded spot. She would sit there beside me in the truck, quiet but very capable, if ya know what I mean.

I remember I banged her once in the back of my truck. I hadn’t planned it, it just sort of happened. She was leaning on the box of the truck and I got too close to her and she kinda wound up lying in the box of the truck…..you get the idea. Anyways, she lost some polish that day. I started treating her like a tool rather than a Queen. I guess when you bang ‘em that hard, that kind of thing happens. I felt pretty bad.

On rainy days when we couldn’t go out, I would take her to my “guy’s room”. Without going into too much detail (as I’m sure you fellas have been there before) I would take my rod, lube her up, and push that ol’ rod into her. Both holes. Well, she was European. My grandfather was always envious, as his old girl only had one hole. He always wanted one with two, but his was Canadian and one hole was all he was gonna get.

And talk about tight…….that’s another story all together.

Well, she’s gone now. Not much else a fella can do but remember the good times and get back on the Internet and find another one. It’s just that easy nowadays. And she will come right to my house. At worst, I’d have to pick her up at the bus depot.

I’d like to get a new model, but at my age I wouldn’t be able to afford her. It’s been about a week now, and I think I’d even settle for a cheap one, maybe a bit dirty. I could clean her up, and if she’s a little loose, well, that’s just the trademark of a well used one.

That’s my story. I know some of you have been in my shoes and understand my situation. Nothing quite like selling an Franchi o/u shotgun …

Happy New Year.

lol: That is funny huntinstuff. I just went through the same separation anxiety myself. I sold my Ruger Compact to morpheus32 a couple of days ago. When I put it in the guncase to deliver it, I felt terrible. I am not kidding or exagerating. I actually thaught to myself, well...I give him my word, I can't go back now, but maybe he'll change his mind. Alas, he did buy it...:( but I know she's got a good home. His boy will bring home the venison with it. :)

X2!! The trick is not to keep them long enough to get attached. Treat them like a 2 dollar whore - fondle, poke and use them for a while then get rid of them before they start to feel too comfortable against your shoulder.

Many guns have come and gone but I only regret one or two. I remember why I sold them and the reasons made sense at the time and still do.

I'm feeling a bit of seller's remorse as I am about to pack up a favourite pistol for my brother-in-law. He's a great friend and really wants the gun. He will use it more than I will and while I wouldn't sell it to anyone else he deserves to have it.

The good news is that the proceeds from the sale will go to fund my current 28 gauge addiction.:dancingbanana:

Help!

I'm the same way!! Do you think it's genetic? Viral? Or are some guys just the "loyal" type?

(Now that I think about it, maybe we're just afraid we won't find another that will put up with our idiosyncracies.):D
