"Wenol" metal polish for 686?

I read that it is not a good idea to use metal polish on a nickel finish, but is it okay to use on stainless steel? I would like to polish up my 686 with something, and I have some "Wenol" metal polish handy.

Where can you get some of that Flitz stuff?? I think I'll try it on my 686.

Also I need to get my hands on a bucket of elbow grease. Everyone agrees that a little elbow grease is all it takes but I've never been able to find any for sale anywhere!!!

I've had good luck polishing my beat-up 22-year-old 686 with Mother's Mag and Wheel polish--I picked mine up at Canadian Tire. I found it quite easy, and didn't really require much elbow grease to get half decent results.
