1'st: Stevens favorite in .32 RF. Would this be a perscribed antique because of the caliber? Also looking for other opinions as to value for him. Good overall condition, decent bore, no cracks.

2nd: Old marlin 1881, serial # in in the 18 thousands....so early. Octagon barrel, decent bore in 32-40. Metal is probably 70-75%, wood is crap. Re finished stocks (long ago), crack in the wrist of the buttstock.

Just looking for a ballpark value range on this one, he's trying to decide wether to keep these or sell.

As always, thanks for any opinions you throw my way..

It depends on the date of manufacture for this one. If it's pre-1898, its antique.

The Favorite was introduced in 1894 IIRC. Chance of it being antique is slim. Chance of being able to establish production prior to '98 is remote. If the mainspring is a coil spring, and the top of the breechblock is not scalloped, its post 1915. Might be worth $150.
