Went for a hike yesterday and couldn't resist bringing this guy home :D

Late night lots of hiking in the dark. Back today for remained of meat. Got it half way out but ran out of gas.

Is that one of those tame sheep at the zoo  Did you pay $10 to get your picture taken with it at feeding time. Or is that a photoshop edit??

Just kiddin...what a spectacular animal. Is that your biggest? I'd be broke, because I'd have to mount any animal that looks that nice. Congrats and more pics please when you have the time :D
a very envious eastern hunter:(

TJ....again you turn me green...unless of course beefman is right...lol

Good work. Do we get an abridged version of AO's article?

Oh! and did you use the '70s TC w/the cool scope? ;)

Abridged version is 15 hours yesterday....shot him at 59 yards at 2pm with the Sako 7mmSTW, 150 gr TBBC......Vanessa and I packed entire ram 1/2 way out and when it started getting really dark we dropped a bunch of meat in the rocks. Very scary 1,500 foot ridge with loads of loose rock and cliffs to go over in dark so figured better to do it light. Went back in today a picked up meat....about 6 hour round trip. Now enjoying beer and chicken wings very soon! :D

Oh ya, saw a sow grizz and two cubs too....pretty cool. Still get a thrill every time I see grizz, which seems often these days!

Nice ram Sheephunter! Congrats. Was wondering about that Dall hunt, sorry to hear you got skunked.

Thanks....hunted our tails off but just no rams....a bunch of new expploration going on and too many helicopters I think. Congrats on the goat...that was a beauty. Drove through Grande Cache last weekend and really miss those mountains! Get back there one day soon.

Well, Vanessa got the results of her x-rays back yesterday and it confirmed that she fractured her elbow and chipped a bone higher in her arm on the fall she took Saturday morning. Amazingly, she put in another 13 hours that day and another 6 hours the next, including a number of hours under a very heavy pack. I always joke with her when things get tough that "if it was easy, girls would be doing it". Apparently it doesn't have to be easy!

Congrats on the nice ram. Your lady is sure tough! Pass on our best and I hope things heal well.

My wife broke both (yes both) her elbows falling while ice skating a few months back. Tough time healing, so I know what she has ahead of her.
