took my new Rem 870 Cantilever slug gun to the range yesterday. Got the gun from our very own Frontier, and the Leupold M8 4x - 33mm from our very own Blacktailslayer (both of which are good to deal with). The rings and mounting were done at P&D, lapped and good service as always.

She shoots good groups and was playing at 50 yards and 100 yards, using 3 inch mag 1 oz Winchester Super X BRI slugs. Not to bad at all, but ill try some more brands and see what she likes to eat if there is anything better.

i have vids, but cant get them to work properly, :(

Was out doing much the same thing myself yesterday with my 870s. Sabot slugs through a rifled barrel, and rifled slugs through a 14" bbl (loud as hell, and surprisingly accurate with a red dot) and my 870 MM.

Finished the afternoon off with 150 rounds through my M-14s.

What a great way to spend the day, and when I woke up this morning and felt my shoulder I just had to grin... :).

They must be only a Manitoba an eastward thing because I too being from Alberta have`nt seen until I been here in Liberal Ontario. They look very similar to the ones on top of the page of this link;

Challengers slugs, made in Quebec. Suppose to be good in smooth & rifled bores;

Only thing my buddy uses even after one got stuck in his barrel and the 2nd slug blew the end off the barrel. Mind ya Challenger sent him a case after that.
He can shot 140 yards with them thru a 870 smooth bore with a scope on side saddle. I did not believe him until I witnessed it.
