I am wanting to buy a my wife a Remington 700 Youth in 7mm-08.
Remington makes the 700 Youth in .243 and 7mm-08 with a black synthetic stock. They also make a "Young Bucks Edition" with a Realtree Hardwoods stock but only in .243.
I am going to have to buy the black 7mm-08 and then buy the Realtree stock and change it.

Where would the best place to buy a 700 Youth "Young Bucks" stock at? I don't see it listed on anyone price lists.

Thanks

Buy the rifle with the black stock, and paint it.
Krylon sells all the colours you need, just prep it , and go to town.
If you search this site you can find plenty of examples of home paint jobs.
When you have it looking like you want it to , coat it with a matte clear coat, and you're good to go.

I've seen stocks like that go through the EE Form from time to time just have to keep yours eyes open for them. Or go to Brownells I'm sure they sell them as well

Thanks guys
I checked out Brownells and couldn't find any OEM Remington 700 SPS stocks or even a youth one.
If any of you happen to know of a shop that sells them please let me know.

Thanks again

Check out Reliable Gun & Tackle in Vancouver, BC they are a dealer here on Gun Nutz and a Remington warranty outlet.

You may be able to order it through a Remington Dealer, but it won't be cheap.

Or buy the young bucks as well, swap stocks, and sell the .243 in the EE.

just get the SPS Youth in 7mm-08 with the black stock, and spend some of the $60 youd save over the camo version on some krylon camo paints and follow some of the camo tutorials in this forum. try it out on a beater stock first perhaps, although you can always just reprime and repaint whenever you like. IMO a painted finish wont be much less durable than the factory camo anyway, and you can always touch it up.

honestly for the price of the camo SPS youth, you could buy a model seven youth in 7mm-08 instead. same black stock but much nicer finish, nicer gun, much handier. even comes with iron sights. the 'young bucks' SPS has the exact same MSRP as the model seven youth.

^^much better gun than an SPS.
