Heh, all. I have a 1950 SKS, that I refinished the laminate stock and it looks like new now. I want to turn this rifle into my "new-old" deer hunting rifle for up north. One problem, the sights totally suck on this thing. I have scene many article in this forum, and I have narrowed it down to the Williams fire sight set, for a replacement for the crappy standard SKS sights. One problem, I dont know were to get them. I emailed the company, with no response. Does anyone know of a place that will ship or that sells these things in Ontario? this is them http://w w w.williamsgunsight.com/gunsights/image_sks.htm
Also, I was thinking about mounting a scope with see-thru sights in conjunction with this set-up. Does anyone recommend a place to get scope mounts, the type to use, and the type of scope for a SKS that works well.
If I can get ahold of a set of the williams fire-sights peep set package, or something similar for my SKS that gives me fairly accurate groupings @ 100yards then I probably wont bother with a scope package though. Help Please help.
P.S. I have been reading all the stuff on the SKS rifle in here for a long time, and after seeing everything I believe the Williams firesights set is the probably the best options for the SKS and I cant believe I havent scene these things sold anywere at the local gunshops.
