Thought you guys might like to see this. We just took it in on consignment. Will likely list it in the EE eventually as well as other places, however, I know a few on here like to see these ones
Made in 1954. Double flat (not common) Letter of authenticity from WR. Original canvas/leather case, leather scope case, original scope with leather caps with 318 on them, original cleaning rod even!!
Pad has be redone but original is still in the box. Even has a slight musty leather smell; you can just smell the history. I bet it has seen some fine hunting. Anybody know much about WR that wants to add anything?

Yes, when we list it on the EE. This is not the place for that, of course, and we have a list of clients that are looking for such rifles that need to be notified first before we post it up. Usually such pieces are sold before they need to be listed. This one is likely 50/50
For those curious, I will PM the price and, of course, it might be on the EE in a week or three.
I just wanted to let everybody see this, I get to see quite a few nice firearms and many never get posted here but this one is special for the history and the make.

to my eye this is the ugliest rifle I have ever seen from Westly Richards. A M onte Carlo stock? This rifle was sold at Epps a few years ago, I think it was around 1K then.

Gotta agree. From the pistol grip back, it's an ugly stock. As far as history goes, 1954 isn't that long ago. I've got a JC Higgins that's roughly the same age.
