western gun parts

Fatboy, they are primarily a trade shop, but they are pretty knowledgable shop, got lots of obscure parts, and carry some lines of accessories. They do telephone mail order, don't know how their shipping rates or prices compare, but if they got it, I think they'll ship it. Don't think they do special order, and they only carry some lines of accessories, but hey, for a phone call, if you need it and they got it, you get to go shooting!

Western Gun Parts has an extensive line of parts and in fact are major suppliers of parts for Browning, Ruger, Savage Etc. Irv and his staff are extremely knowlegeable however make sure you have your Make, model, ser. # handy as they need to know exact descriptions. At times the front end staff can be a little abrupt but imagine getting calls from all over north america and someone asking for a "clip for my .22" and not being able to elaborate any further. They restrict some parts to gunsmiths only due to liabilities. Their prices are very fair for most parts but expect to pay a premium for hard to find parts.

They got me a firing pin for my Remmy 572 in record time. :D All the other gun shops told me a wait of 6 months or something like that. :x Was I ever happy to have my gun working in a week. (My other .22LR is still down so I was desperate, it wants a new barrel  .) I need something to shoot. :) Oh yah, this is to give them a thumbs up for service and having the part. I will not hesitate to order from them again.

....'Nice to be able to say something good about a Company ! I just ordered a part for a P14 303; they had the part in stock, take VISA, and got back to me very quickly, 'used e-mails rather than the 'phone! Canada Post charges, put a bit of a damper on the experiance, but thats not WGPs fault ! I'd deal with them again, and probably will, next time something breaks or wears out on my SMLE's :D :D :D .... David K.

I spoke with Irv when I was doing a repair on a Browning BPS, very knowledgeable fellow, steered me in the right direction with regard to the cut off date for new and old style. Had the part I needed, got it done and back to the happy customer.

I have visited them on a few occasions to get parts, great shop

its more of a warehouse with a front desk, no real browsing so know what it is that you are looking for and they usually have it in stock

Too bad they have not gotten their CD catalouge done
